IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Due to the Federal government shutdown, a 2-inch-wide 8-feet-long steel chain anchored with four hex-bolts obstructs the parking area at Fletcher's Cove. Please park off-site on Reservoir Road, Bending Lane, Hutchins Lane. V Street, or MacAerthur Boulevard and walk down Reservoir Road, cross over Canal Road looking both ways, and enter Fletcher's Cove on foot.

    Packet pickup:

  • You may pick up your bib number. t-shirt, and goodie bag on Saturday or Sunday:
  • Saturday, October 12, 3:00-6:00 PM, at Georgetown Running Company, 3401 M Street NW, Washington DC (202-337-8626). You get a 15% store discount when you show your bib number
  • Sunday, October 13, 8:00-8:45 AM, on site at Fletcher's Cove
  • Please wear your bib number intact on the front of your shirt.
  • Please do not remove the tear-off tag at the bottom

    Directions from Georgetown:

  • From Georgetown, go west past Key Bridge. At Foxhall Road, M Street becomes Canal Road. Continue west for 2 miles.
  • Turn left to drive up Reservoir Road for free parking.
  • Directions from west:
  • From Clara Barton Parkway, go east past Chain Bridge where Canal Road begins. Cross Arizona Avenue.
  • Turn left to drive up Reservoir Road for free parking.
  • Bathrooms:
  • Outdoor bathrooms available across C&O Canal, unless NPS has locked them, which won't know until Saturday.

    Bottom line: we can run wherever we want, but we can't park on-site.

    Our chief timers, Zachary Harris and Bersabe Belay, need transportation from 14th Street and Randolph Street NW, Washington DC. If you can provide them a lift to the race, please call Zachary at 202-430-4102 or Bersabe at 240-343-0195.
