Montgomery County's finest community race (USATF-certified 8K course) on the gently rolling hills of Somerset, Chevy Chase, and Friendship Heights. 

Registration includes post-race brunch and a locally-designed T-shirt.

Awards:  Great prizes
      • for top 3 male & female finishers in the 8K overall, and
      • for top 3 male & female finishers in the 8K in age groups:  15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over. 

Proceeds help Somerset Elementary School provide scholarships for after-school programs, build its library, and offer a rich cultural arts program. 

Fun Runs (11 & under)! Fun Runs follow the 2K race.  Fun Runs are free to young athletes, but T-shirts must be ordered separately.

Non-runners and fun runners can order T-shirts and register for brunch by checking the T-shirt / brunch box on the entry form -- $15 on-line, $25 on paper

Race Course (8K and 2K):  Start line is at the corner of Dorset Avenue & Warwick Place, just off Wisconsin Avenue, one mile north of the DC line.

Start line is a 10-minute walk from Friendship Heights Metro Station. The 8K course is USATF-certified (MD05026JS) with water stations and mile splits.

No strollers, baby-joggers, skates, or pets are permitted on the 8K course.

      • Friday, October 12, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Somerset Elementary School, 5811 Warwick Place, Chevy Chase MD (a few blocks from Wisconsin Avenue)
      • Saturday, October 13, 11:00 AM-3:00 PM, at Georgetown Running Company, 4461 Willard Avenue, Chevy Chase MD (301-215-6355)
      • Sunday, October 14 (race day), 7:30 AM-8:30 AM, at Somerset Elementary School    
      • New this year: Your timing tag is embedded in your bib number

Brunch and Awards Ceremony:  A fantastic brunch and awards ceremony at Somerset Elementary School following the runs, free to all registered runners and $15 for non-registrants (includes T-shirt)
