Thank you for entering ACE Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Institute Roosevelt Run 5K!
  • We look forward to hosting you on Thursday, August 29, 2019.
  • We meet at Theodore Roosevelt Island parking lot,
  • Accessible by car only from NORTHBOUND George Washington Memorial Parkway
  • Accessible by foot or bicycle from the small unnamed park on the east side of Gateway Park in Rosslyn, at the Virginia end of Key Bridge, at the northern end of Mount Vernon Trail (GPS devices may find the address 1201 Lee Highway, Arlington VA 22209)
  • Packet pick-up is open 6:00-6:30 PM on-site
  • At packet pickup, you receive your bib number and goodie bag (no t-shirt for this small race)
  • To time the race, we use bib numbers and tear-off tags (the old-fashioned method), so please wear your bib number visibly on the front of your shirt and don’t remove the name tag at the bottom. We collect the name tags after the race to determine to order of finish
  • We also may deploy our new Bolt electronic timing system. If so, you'll find a timing tag in a waterproof plastic enveloped stapled to the back of your bib number. Please make sure that envelope stays intact throughout the race, and please remove the envelope and deposit into the collection box after the race.
  • The race starts at 6:45 PM.
  • The course runs on Mount Vernon Trail alongside George Washington Memorial Parkway, from Theodore Roosevelt Island, under Roosevelt Bridge and under Memorial Bridge to turn around morth of Navy-Marine Memorial before I-395. Turn around and come straight back
  • On Mount Vernon Trail, always stay to the right for safety. The trail is open to other users, including bicycles. Please courteous to other trail users
  • We present awards quickly after the race
  • We post results on-line after the race at https://safetyandhealthfoundation.org/20190829.html
  • We are grateful to you for joining us, and we look forward to welcoming you.

  • As always, I shall bring copies of my book "The Man Who Stole The Sun" about three Arlington runners planning to run Marine Corps Marathon the next day, and the obstacles they must overcome. It's a story of love, betrayal, courage, and triumph, and along the way, you meet a cast of interesting characters who act upon very different motives. You also learn some quantum mechanics, theoretical astrophysics, and proofs of Stephen Hawking's work, all tied up into 120 pages.
  • It's $10.00, autographed by the author, or we can mail a copy anywhere for $14.00.
  • For a preview, please see www.arlingtonsunrise.com
