    On Thursday, April 30, 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at Key Bridge Marriott, 1401 Lee Highway, Arlington VA - 3rd Floor- Washington Room. Please join us to stuff a few hundred bags and get your bib number and t-shirt early.

    On Saturday, May 2, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, pre-race packet pickup is at Georgetown Running Company, 3401 M Street NW, Washington DC (202-337-8628).

    On Saturday, May 2, at 6:30 PM, after packet pick-up ends, we settle down for dinner at Cosi Restaurant, 1801 North Lynn Street, Arlington VA, with guest speaker Gib Leonard, reporting on Buy A Brick Foundation's progress building clinics in Zimbabwe and their Stomp Out Malaria campaign.

    Get a good night's sleep, because tomorrow, we run.

    On race day, Sunday, May 3, packet pickup is open 6:15 AM to 7:45 AM on-site at Fletcher's Cove.

    On race day, Sunday, May 3, starting at 6:00 AM, we offer "Dawn Patrol" one-way Red Top Cab rides from Key Bridge Marriott, 1401 Lee Highway, Arlington VA 22209, to Fletcher's Cove, for $5 (regularly $10).
    For the return trip, we have a professional driver who can take four passengers at any time back to Key Bridge Marriott.

  • At 7:00 AM, we start the non-competitive first section of the half and full marathon. We have special prizes for the first-place finishers male and female in the half and full who started at 7:00 AM
  • If you need an extra hour to finish, please join our Early Bird Start at 7:00 AM. You get the same medal, post-race refreshments, and finish certification, including a mailed certificate of your time suitable for framing and Framingham ... and Boston. You also get your medal and post-race picnic sooner. We want to ask as many runners / walkers as possible to join the Early Bird start.

  • At 7:50 AM, Michael Creadon, trumpeter for Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps, and 11-time Potomac River Run Marathon finisher, leads us in The National Anthem.
  • At 8:00 AM, we start the competitive half and full marathon.
  • We have special prizes for the first-place finishers male and female in the half marathon who started at 8:00 AM, and we have cash prizes $250-$150-$100 for the 1st-2nd-3rd finishers male and female in the full marathon who started at 8:00 AM
