Thank you for joining Safety And Health Foundation's first aid / AED / CPR certification class on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Walter Reed Community Center, 2909 16th Street South, Arlington VA.

DIRECTIONS: From Arlington Boulevard (US Route 50), take Fillmore Street southbound. At 7th Street South, Fillmore Street becomes Walter Reed Drive. (Don't ask. It's true. All of it. They're real.) Cross Columbia Pike (VA Route 244). Pass Rite-Aid Pharmacy on your left and BB&T Bank on your right. Stay left. You may contact Chrissy directly at chrissy@onthescenetraining.com, 571-426-8418, if you want to organize a training session for your running club, house of worship, neighborhood association, school, or workplace. We have students joining us from all five of these areas.

After the second session, Chrissy e-mails your first-aid / AED / CPR certification card directly to you at the e-mail address where you receive this message. If you want her to send your card to a different e-mail address, please write her directly.

In 2015, Safety And Health Foundation conducts three full marathons, four half marathons, one 10-kilometer race, and two five-kilometer footraces. SHF also contracts with charities, PTAs, and schools to manage their footraces. SHF also assists with event management and data management. For full information, please see our web site www.SafetyAndHealthFoundation.org

SHF donates about 25% of its gross income BEFORE EXPENSES to charities who assist at its races. From its net proceeds after expenses. SHF subsdizes first-aid certification classes like yours. Chrissy charges us $125 per student, and we cover $100 of that so that your price is only $25. Thus we fulfill our mission.

Donations to Safety And Health Foundation are tax-deductible. SHF always needs volunteers and assistants at its races. We welcome your help. For example, SHF conducts two upcoming races:

o Veterans Day 5K on Saturday, November 7, at 11 AM on the Mount Vernon Trail in Rosslyn, Arlington VA, as a benefit for Operation Reinvent, a charity assisting women veterans. See www.SafetyAndHealthFoundation.org/veterans

o 12 1/4th and 12 1/2th Potomac River Run Marathon and Half on Saturday, November 14, at 10:00 AM, and Sunday, November 15, with starts at 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, and 9:00 AM, all on the C&O Canal Towpath from Carderock east towards DC and back, , as a benefit for Buy A Brick Foundation, a charity building clinics and hospitals and fighting malaria in Zimbabwe, also for Ethio-American Athletics Association and DC Capital Striders. See www.SafetyAndHealthFoundation.org/marathon/20151115.php for full information.

Teaching skills is a vital part of SHF's mission. Our volunteers and assistants will teach you skills that you can use to manage your own events.

New on Thursday, November 5 -- SHF winter jackets, bright red with colorful embroidery ($30, but free to our volunteers and assistants so you can wear the jacket at our races), and SHF polo shirts, white with the same embroidery ($20, same deal). These items are available for the first time anywhere at our classes on Thursday, November 5, 2015.
