Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (CFC #11333) was established in 2000 to provide financial support for the dependents of United States military personnel lost in performance of their duty, continuing the effort begun in 1982 by Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher, founders of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and the Fisher House Foundation.
Wounded Warrior Project (CFC #11425) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization headquartered in Jacksonville FL with additional program offices located in New York City and Washington DC. WWP was founded in Roanoke VA by a group of veterans and friends who took action to help the injured service men and women of this generation. Its objectives:
• To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members
• To help injured service members aid and assist each other
• To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members
